    Directions

    What are the accomodations like?

The lodge consists of two cabins. There are restrooms and bunkrooms in both buildings.
There is a limited number of bunks. Bunkrooms are dorm-style and are on a first come, first serve basis. Most people set up a tent and camp in the forest around the lodge.
Tenters may use the building's facilities.
    There are no showers.

    What should I bring?

Bring your bedroll (sleeping bag and pillow). If you are camping, don't forget your tent.
Bring appropriate clothing for the weather. The workshop will take place rain or shine (although it rarely rains this time of year). The temperature may get hot during the day and cool after dark. Sometimes it can get windy.
Bring and wear a wide brim hat.
    Wear sunscreen.
    Sunglasses
    Camera and binoculars

Bring a couple of gallons of drinking water, per person, and a canteen or a water bottle for the walks.

The meals are served buffet style. We ask you to bring 6 place settings (plate, bowl, cup, utensils), one set for each meal. We do not have the facilities to wash the dishes for so many guests. We'd like you to take your dirty dishes and wash them when you get back home. Please do not bring disposable dishes. Bringing a tray for the buffet line is good idea, too.
A pen or pencil to take notes in your handbook.
We will have a selection of guidebooks and other items for sale, so don't forget your wallet. (All proceeds benefit the San Diego Chapter of the Sierra Club).

    Where do I sleep?

Most people set up a tent and camp in the forest around the lodge.
There is a limited number of bunks in the two buildings. Bunkrooms are dorm-style and are on a first come, first serve basis. Sometimes earplugs are a good idea if you are a light sleeper.
